Contemporary Mailbox

Interested in a contemporary mailbox?  There are many styles of mailboxes to choose from these days, you can go for the old school antique looking mailbox, a mailbox on a post, your regular rectangular mailbox with a lid, or you can go for a more contemporary mailbox. 

The contemporary mailbox takes many different forms, some of them are quite unique looking and others are more reserved and have been based off of old models with a little bit of a twist.  If you’re not sure which one to get, we’re going to be going into some top selling mailboxes which you may want to consider, so be sure to take notes:

1.  Special Leaf Contemporary Mailbox (White and Gold)

This is quite a unique looking one which is made of sand cast aluminum.  This mailbox is 13” high, 6 ½” wide and 3 ½” deep.  It is shaped as if it is a cross section of a house, a traditional house shape split in 2, where the roof of the house is the lid to the mailbox, that’s the best I can describe it.  It’s very elegant looking and is designed to hold the letters vertically rather than horizontally like the traditional rectangular mailboxes.

This can also be equipped with “magazine scrolls” which would extend down below the box.  This will cost you $125 if you pick it up off of Amazon.

2.  Architectural Mailboxes Oasis Jr. Mailboxes

Here’s one of the more unique looking mailboxes I’ve seen.  It is very large at 18”Dx15”Hx11.5”W and thus can hold a large parcel easily.  It is mounted on top of a post and is in the shape of a large black box.  A portion of the box opens up and has a tray inside upon which the mail or parcel can be placed, once you close the hatch, the parcel or mail drops down to the bottom.

This has a nice contemporary design on the front of it and It also has the traditional red flag on the side of the unit.  This is made of galvanized steel as well so it is quite sturdy.  If you want to pick this up, it will cost you $107.91, which is not bad considering how large and nice looking it is.

Now if you’re looking for a contemporary mailbox that is cheaper than those two, do make sure you look around a bit more as I have listed off some of the best quality ones for you to get.  There are a few that are still decent looking for less and still have that contemporary vibe, just do a bit more searching on Amazon or other online shops and you’ll find them.
